Thinking About A Suprise Party? Planning It Right Will Help It Succeed!

Party Planning Ideas

Planning a surprise birthday party can be fun but it can also be a headache. You not only have to get everything done in time for the party but you also have to do it all on the sly. You have to be very careful to not let the star of the party in on what is being planned. In this article we will share a few tips on how to do some surprise party planning without the secret being revealed or getting totally stressed out in the process.

The first thing you need to do when planning a surprise party and probably the most important, is to find out what date you will have the party. This will call for a little spy work. You will need to make sure the guest of honor will be available. It would not be good if you planned a party and the guest of honor could not attend their own party. The best way to do this is to get someone to help you. Have them come up with a fake event to take the person to on this date. When the guest of honor commits to this date then you are set to go.

Send out invitations. Make sure you make it clear that this is a “surprise” party. This way they will not let it slip to the guest of honor. You can tell them about the fake event that is planned. This way if they run into the person they are prepared.

Ask all of the guests to come at least a half hour early. They may need to park their cars out of sight so the guest of honor will not expect anything.

Make sure that you start planning your party several weeks before the date. Plan the food and entertainment. Make lists of what you will need. This will give you plenty of time to prepare without becoming stressed. Make sure you start doing any shopping and cooking days before the event. Cook foods, which can be frozen ahead of time. This will make the actual day of the party less stressful. Another good tip is to make sure you order the cake a week or two before the party. This will guarantee the cake to be ready on time.

Follow these tips and you will be all set to throw a great surprise party. As long as no one spills the beans about the surprise party it should be a huge success.
